Lime Split Upholstery Leather

LIMING

The Liming is a 48 hr mellow liming, designed to give a soft leather, with a reasonable amount of 'run'

TANNAGE

The wet blue is wholly chrome tanned using sulphur dioxide reduced basic chromium sulphate with no pretannage or retannage.

GRADE, SELECTION, FORM AND SUBSTANCE

As specified on the sale documents.

CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

When tested at the time of packing, the wet blue complies as follows: a) Chrome Oxide (Cr3 03) content (calculated on a moisture free basis) is not lower than 4.0% (Using method l.U.CJ8) b) The PH value is not lower than 3.3 c) The Shrinkage Temperature is not lower than 100C d) The Moisture Content is not lower than 50% (Using method l.U.C.15)

RESISTANCE TO MOULD

The wet blue has been treated with 30% TCMTB based fungicide to the recommendation of the suppliers for long term storage.

The liming is a short, sharp sulphide/lime process, designed to give firm, plump pelt with minimum looseness.

The wet blue is wholly chrome tanned using sulphur dioxide reduced basic chromium sulphate with no pretannage or retannage.
