We are pleased to announce that we have officially joined a partnership with design and engineering house CALLUM, following the same journey as our sister company, Bridge of Weir Leather. This marks an important moment for Muirhead, bringing our upholstery, interiors and custom project expertise into a collaboration known for considered design and engineering excellence.
Handcrafted to order, the exclusive CALLUM x Daniel Hopwood Lounge Chair reflects a shared appreciation for British design and craftsmanship, combining sculptural form with carefully selected finishes.

Our richly textured, natural grain Rococo leather plays a central role in the piece, adding warmth, depth and character to the design. Selected from our upcoming Natural Elements Collection, Rococo is defined by its enhanced grain structure, tactile surface and expressive appearance. Finished in a deep oxblood tone, it brings balance and visual richness to the wider material palette of the chair.
The leather has been produced using our BioTAN technology, a chrome-free and metal-free tanning approach, reducing reliance on fossil fuel and oil-derived components while maintaining the performance and aesthetic qualities expected of premium upholstery leather.

Jonathan Lord, Head of Upholstery Leather and Custom Projects at Muirhead, said:
"Muirhead is delighted to officially join the long-standing partnership between our sister company Bridge of Weir Leather and CALLUM, supporting their latest project, an exciting collaboration between two leaders in the British design world. Our 'Natural Elements' low-carbon leather further elevates what is already a very special object. It's been a privilege to contribute to the project, which celebrates British craftsmanship, heritage and contemporary design."
