The lightest leather on two tracks at InnoTrans 2022

It was a first for Muirhead at Innotrans and it was wonderful to see all our existing and potential business partners and rail industry friends from all over the world in Berlin.

A very big thank you to all who visited us and to our business partners who showcased their innovative seat solutions at our stand - PriestmanGoode, Quantum Seating Ltd, Ardee Coach Trim Ltd, Franz Kiel GmbH, and Daewon. They all made our world premiere at InnoTrans 2022 truly extraordinary, and we look forward to future cooperation and collaboration.

Our latest high performance product innovations were exceptionally well received. We introduced Muirhead's lowest carbon, full substance reduced weight, LightCore™ ActiveHygiene leather, which is re-engineered with a unique, micro-light core without losing technical performance, durability, and flame retardancy.

Long-term performance is crucial for the rail sector, and Muirhead delivers much-needed durability, exceptional technical performance, breathability, flame resistance, and easy cleaning properties with a market-leading warranty. In addition, investing in leather seat covers dramatically reduces the total cost of ownership in the long term, and our collaboration with Irish Rail became an industry benchmark.

Flame retardancy standards are another critical factor in the rail industry. Muirhead's in-house Fire Resistance testing lab is another industry-leading innovation; it enables us to test full seat constructions to EN45545-2 and EN16989.
